With three Grammy nominations, the SteelDrivers are one of the hottest bluegrass bands to come out of Nashville. In May, visitors to the Smokies will have a chance to see this critically acclaimed band for free! The SteelDrivers will headline the annual Bloomin’ Barbeque and Bluegrass festival in Sevierville. Featuring incredible music and delicious food, this is one Smoky Mountain celebration you do not want to miss.

When and Where
The Bloomin’ Barbeque and Bluegrass festival will be held on Friday May 16th and Saturday May 17th. All of the fun will take place in downtown Sevierville from 5 p.m. – 10 p.m. on Friday, and 9 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Saturday. The SteelDrivers will take the stage at 8 p.m. on Saturday evening.

Bluegrass
Since the release of their debut album in 2008, the SteelDrivers have taken the music world by storm. The Nashville-based band won the International Bluegrass Music Association award for Emerging Artist of the Year in 2009, and have frequently appeared on television, radio, and film.
The Bloomin’ Barbeque and Bluegrass festival will also feature non-stop musical entertainment from great local artists, including Jimbo Whaley & Greenbrier, Dale Ann Bradley, and Willow Osborne.

In addition to all of the great music, guests will also have the opportunity to sample world class food as part of the Bloomin’ Barbeque and Bluegrass Cook-Off. An official Tennessee State Championship Competition, this BBQ tournament features dishes from some of the best chefs from across the nation.
